How to play Solsticio
Solsticio is a logic puzzle you can learn in seconds. Fill every grid with two symbols — sun ☀ and moon ☾ — so that three simple rules hold. If you follow them, you never have to guess: every board has exactly one solution.
A solved 4×4 board.
The three rules
- No three in a rowNever three suns or three moons in a line, across or down.
- BalanceEvery row and column holds the same number of suns and moons.
- Connectors (= and ×)Later puzzles add clues between cells — same or different.
How to fill a cell
Tap an empty cell to place a sun. Tap again for a moon. Tap once more to clear it. Cells that start with a symbol are fixed clues — they can't change. When the grid is full and every rule holds, you win.
A tip to get started
Look for pairs. If two suns already sit side by side, the cells on either end must be moons (no three in a row). And when a row already has half its suns, every remaining cell in that row must be a moon (balance). Chain these two ideas and the board solves itself — no luck required.
